On a Spring Day

**I just heard about the earthquake in Japan and the ensuing devistation and tsunamies throughout the world. I also just heard that these tsunamies could possibly effect our western coastline even as far up as Oregon. Of course my thoughts are with Matthew there in Oregon and what kind of storms might hit there. And perhaps by the time it reaches Australia it will only by slightly highter waves and not devastaing waves because they just do not need anymore.  No matter, all of those affected need our prayers and any other help we can give.
Also, there was a fire down by my parents' house this week. My parents were lucky that the wind shifted away from them, but others were unfortunate that it did.
I just wanted to mention these things before I moved on to more light hearted fare

Yesterday was a very nice day, weather wise here. 64*F, downright balmy. A nice day to go out and play.

Spring, Spring, Spring

Today would have been my grandmother's 89th birthday. I miss her. A lot.

What I have always loved about Grandma's birthday is that it comes in the spring when there is newness all around us.

See all the newness in my yard?

Coming in the next couple of days, a picture of my new granddaughter.
(We are still praying for her to get here before Donovan has to leave Tuesday.)
