I love carnivals. I love the smell of the sickining, fattening, not good for you food- popcorn, chili, hamburgers, french fries, snow cones, cotton candy. I love watching the lights on the rides, even though the merry-go-round is about the only one I ever ride. The caucaphony of sounds that come from the rides and their riders, the squeal of the children along with their laughter, the cry of the barkers as they try to get you to spend your money at their booth. I even love the stupid cheesy prizes. My favorite waste of money game? Popping balloons with the darts. I am pretty good at that one.
