Juicy Juice

I used to have a fruit and vegetable juicer. I probably still have it. Somewhere. I didn't like it. The juice cup was tiny and the pulp container was even tinier. Half and apple and I had to empty it. Plus it was a pain in the neck to take apart and clean. So I stopped using it and put it somewhere. I think it is outside in the garage on a shelf. I would go look, but I don't really care.

Anyway, my point is this, I would like to have a good juicer and I don't want to drag out my canning juicer everytime I want a glass of fresh juice. Again, too much work for one glass. I don't mind it if I am canning quarts and quarts of juice, but one teeny glass? Not going to happen.

So I have been looking around. I heard that the Jack La Lane juicer is a good one. I found that he has 3 different models. I watched all the videos about them. I am not sure what the difference is, exactly. Besides color, I mean.

Help me choose. You can click on the pictures to take you to the site that has the video about it.

1. Classic
I have issues with the color. I don't really like white appliances. But if this is my best choice, I'll live with it.

Indeed.

I've heard that the Jack La Lane ones are the best. I don't know which is best of the 3, Wynn is good at those details. I just narrow down to what I like & then he goes through the technical details. Maybe I'll have him read this when he gets home tonight & let you know what he says.

Have you thought of the Vitamix? It's amazing, and you don't have lots of parts to clean. We make juice with it all the time, and soups, and sauce...lol We even have an extra one we'll sell ya. I guess it depends on what you're looking for. We love ours.

Take G. Parker up on it. She has one she's willing to sell. Will she loan it to you for a test run so you can compare it to the one you hate on the shelf? That would be the best...

David and Gaynell- tell me more about the Vitamix. What makes it more than a blender (with a snot setting perhaps?) and why do I want it?

I could have sworn I replied and sent you the link to vitamix...but I'm not seeing it. It's great! You can make juice or smoothies or grind grain for flour, or make sauces and soups. There's a dry container and a wet one. The extra ones we have are mainly drink makers, but they'll do pretty much anything the other does except the grain unless you buy the extra container. It's definitely worth looking into. Ebay is an alternative source...lol

I would never buy a juicer because then I'd feel obligated to use it and drink healthy but nasty tasting stuff. But if I were to decide I needed a juicer someday, I'd totally go with a red one. I love red. I choose all my appliances--and my cars--based solely on their color because what good is functionality if you can't stand to LOOK at it?

Karlene- that cracks me up that you would use a red juicer, but never ever drive a red car.

My microwave is red! :)
