We were supposed to go to Disneyland this weekend. That got cancelled by you know who. Disappointment was large and acted out by a teenager in this house because up until last week we were led to believe that is was going to happen. Why we continue to believe a liar and get our hopes dashed and crushed I have no idea.
Anyway, we went on "vacation" anyway. We didn't answer the phone and had limited and selective contact with you know who and we took part of the money we saved for Disney and did things we don't normally do. We went to dinner-3 nights in a row, we went to a movie, we shopped. At the mall. Twice. (and if you know me you know how excruciatingly painful that was) And we had fun.
And that is what I am thankful for today- that there are things to do that Brandi and I could just hang out and have fun and go on "vacation" even though we stayed home.
(Friday she asked if she had to go to school because she was "on vacation". I made her go only because she has been really sick and already missed 10 days of school this year. Otherwise I would have taken the day off also and we would have spent the whole day "on vacation")
