Coming home from Brandi's soccer game we stopped at Wal-Mart to pick up some milk. We left there about 8:15, went across the street, got gas and headed home. We had to go about 4 blocks out of our way to get home because a house had just exploded and the way home was blocked off. You can read about it here.
Speaking about Brandi and soccer, they won their game tonight. 11-3. Brandi played really well tonight. Better than she ever has. But then I hired her a personal trainer so she should be playing better. The reason I hired a trainer? The simple answer is this- Elbows = yellow cards.
The long answer is she has never had someone teach her how to play, teach her how to control the ball, teach her how to be agressive but not flagrant. After some simple one on one time and simple instruction, she played with more purpose, more finesse and more passion than I have ever seen. I think it will be money well spent.
In other news, I did something this morning that I have never, ever in my life done. I slept through my alarm. By 35 minutes no less! Somehow I still made it to work a smidge early.
On that note, I think I will go to bed early so I can get up on time in the morning.

Um..."a house exploded" needs to have a little more fanfare, no?
Well, at the moment it had just happened and that was the only information I had.
We felt it when it happened. I thought a bookcase had tipped over. Or maybe a UFO had crash-landed on our roof. Definitely weird.
